Date: 6-lecture series on Tuesdays, 6-8pm, beginning January 14
Fee: $45 for 6-lecture series or $10 each, at the door.
Series will focus on 6 artists – Kandinsky, Monet, Klimt, O’Keefe, Vermeer and Musami – and what critics, historians and art lovers believe to be masterpieces. The lectures will place the paintings in a historical context using music and contemporary events to understand the aesthetic currents of the time. Learn the thoughts of critics and contemporaries, as well as what the artists believed about their own work.
