Have you ever wanted to tell a story but didn’t know where to start? Do you like to draw? Do you love to dance to the music on the radio? How would you like to tell stories without saying a single word? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this program is for you. Through a series of hands-on lessons using the math and science of the arts, learn how to create stories, put them into pictures, and act them out using mime, physical acting and dance to make them come to life. Express your feelings and ideas using STEM to STEAM like you never did before.
Reed is an advocate of arts in education and has been an educator artist for over 30 years for National Endowment for the Arts, Indiana Arts Commission, Young Audiences of Indiana, New Jersey, New Orleans, and Kansas City Chapters, and collaborated with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. As an actor, mime, stuntman, comedian, clown, puppeteer, magician, and director, Reed has performed literally thousands of times on stage, television, and film from Los Angeles to New York.
Please bring your lunch and a snack and wear a smock or art clothes. All other supplies will be provided.
