Bluegrass Banjo

Music Night – Glencoe Ridge

March 10, 2017, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

An evening featuring area musicians Glencoe Ridge that delight us with Bluegrass Music! Experience the toe-tapping tunes, feel the energy, sit back and enjoy!

Chris Salomone began playing the Banjo at Fairgreen Living Facility in New Smyrna Beach a few years ago.  Mark Severance, a sergeant for the New Smyrna Beach Police Department then joined him.  Mark sings, plays rhythm guitar and love bluegrass music. This collaboration provided local musicians interested in bluegrass music an opportunity to jam with like-minded musicians.  Several dedicated players began joining on a regular basis to provide music for the living facility on a volunteer basis.  The band then added Jimmy Stiles (Bass Player), Pat Rausch (Mandolin),  Jason McCarthy (rhythm guitar) and Stanley Clements (rhythm guitar) as regular players. Each one contributes a wealth of experience to the group.  Mark Severance named the band Glencoe Ridge because Glencoe Ridge is considered the highest elevation point in New Smyrna Beach. According to Mark, the ridge runs along I-95. The group has performed at several city events and is honored to provide entertainment for the City of New Smyrna Beach and its citizens.

Free to members, $5 for non-members
