Method Acting 101 with Mike Philips

An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until December 17, 2020
Dates: Thursday, starting November 5, from 5:30-7:00pm
Fee: This six-week course will be $120 paid at registration.
In this six-weeks course your child will learn acting skills using the Constantin Stanislavski method. Stanislavski was a Russian theater mentor who utilized four elements to motivate his actors. The four elements your students will learn are: “Action if”, “given circumstances”, “emotional memory” and “communication”. techniques on method acting, improvisation, memorization, technical theater, and publicity. Your child will collaborate with the other students by writing, rehearsing, and producing an original one act play. Little or no acting experience is required. This six-week course will meet once a week on Thursday nights from 5:30 to 7:00 beginning November 5th and concluding December 17th with our one act live performance opening at the Hub at 7:00 pm.
