Knitted Jewelry Techniques with Lyn Harris

Fee: $20 for Members; $25 for non-members (for a materials fee of $6, Lyn will provide needles and yarn). Maximum 15 participants.
This two hour workshop will allow the student to learn some unique and easy ways to produce beautiful knitted jewelry. Students will be given several patterns each for knitted necklaces, pins and bracelets. We will discuss the best yarns to use for ease of construction and appearance as well as how to embellish our pieces with beads and other design elements. While you will not be expected to complete a piece in the allotted class time, you will find tons of terrific and exciting ideas to get you going! Knowledge of basic knitting stitches– cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease– is required. Students are encouraged to bring a worsted weight yarn and US 7, 8 or 9 needles.
Instructor will provide all written materials and samples for a fee of $10.
