Influential Women Artists and Musicians Through the Ages (Part 1)—Lecture Series with Lucinda Sloan
January 29, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until February 5, 2019
The 1st four 2-hour lectures in this series begin on January 15 and run for four consecutive Tuesday evenings, beginning at 6:30pm.
Fee: $10 each, at the door.
The eight lectures in the combined series will span from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century and travel around the world. Each lecture will focus on women from the various periods who exemplify great creativity and perseverance. These women’s lives were often spent breaking down barriers in times that either prohibited women from careers in the arts, or as in the Middle East prohibited women from speaking. Lucinda’s highly interactive lectures will identify and feature women artists and musicians that made outsized contributions to the arts in each period. Bring your curiosity and prepare to learn!
