Few places conjure mental images of more clarity than Greece. The tattered but unbroken power of the Acropolis. The windmills of Mykonos. The blue and stark white beauty of Santorini perched above the impossibly beautiful Mediterranean. Lazy lunches under the shade of ever present olive trees, capped with ouzo and spanakopita. You can close your eyes and imagine it, or you can view those vistas as captured by the artist Beatrice Athanas. Beatrice became Greek by marriage and the country’s beauty captured her heart. Her work transports the viewer to a calmer, more idyllic place.
