Fee: $40 for members and $50 for non-members

This workshop will allow the student to learn the basics of digital drawing and painting, which include: vector and bit-mapped types of digital software programs, drawing basics including shapes and light on objects, selecting paper and/or canvas, use of tools (mesh and perspective), extra tools (filters, styles, masks, etc.), the color wheel, pigment, light, printed inks, output resolution, layers, channels, and file size/print.  Participants are asked to bring their own device; laptop PC or MAC with mouse, tablet, or mobile device.  Software must already be loaded before they come to class.  For questions or information on recommended (SketchBook Pro) software, please contact Dale Turner at [email protected] or 703-217-9032.
