Hmm, catchy title invoking our home state. What is the project then? More like the projects. This heartfelt film is documentary-like in its portrayals of the near anarchist children roaming a residential motel and beyond, to the stressed out adults who are supposed to be taking care of them. The only big-name star is Willem Dafoe who rightfully was nominated for a Best Supporting Role Oscar. He is truly amazing in his role of a motel manager trying to keep everything together. This is a Florida that probably most of us have never seen or even thought much about, and for that reason alone is a must see. Paul Marino will introduce the film, raise questions to ponder and host a post-viewing discussion.
