Art from Around the World for Ages 6-12 with Heather Wolynic

Dates: 2-Session Workshop on Wednesday, October 18 and 25, 2:30-4:00pm
In this fascinating art class series, your child will embark on a journey across different countries to explore the rich and diverse world of traditional folk art. Each country will be a gateway to a unique artistic heritage and a treasure trove of techniques, colors and motifs. During the course your child will be immersed in the artistic traditions of these countries, gaining a deeper understanding of their cultural significance. Students will have the opportunity to create their own multicultural masterpieces, incorporating the techniques and styles they learn along the way.
Sessions 1 and 2: China: Your child will explore the rich history of Chinese folk art, learning techniques such as Chinese paper cutting, brush painting and the intricate art of porcelain painting.
Fee: $50 for Members; $60 for non-members. Limited enrollment of 12.
