Art from Around the World for Ages 5-8 with Heather Wolynic

In this fascinating art class series, your child will embark on a journey across different countries to explore the rich and diverse world of traditional folk art. Each country will be a gateway to a unique artistic heritage and a treasure trove of techniques, colors and motifs. During the course your child will be immersed in the artistic traditions of these countries, gaining a deeper understanding of their cultural significance. Students will have the opportunity to create their own multicultural masterpieces, incorporating the techniques and styles they learn along the way.
Sessions 1 and 2 – Nigeria: Your child will discover the diverse folk art traditions of Nigeria, such as Adire textile dyeing, Ndebe pottery and Aso Oke weaving, incorporating traditional patterns and symbols of Nigerian culture.
Fee: $50 for Members; $60 for non-members. Limited enrollment of 12.
