1st Saturday – November

November 6, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Gallery Opening Reception from 4-7pm:

November Exhibition Opening in The Founders Gallery Faceless Friends by John Jacopelle. John Jacopelle’s exhibition, Faceless Friends, is a master class in abstract figure painting. Often utilizing a Picasso-esque style to depict the human form, muted anatomical detail, bold use of color and the absence of faces, Jacopelle conveys a sense of uncertainty and loneliness. The profound anonymity of his subjects perhaps captures the feeling of our recent times. You’ll feel the sense of isolation yet be energized by Jacopelle’s painting style. Opening from 4-7pm. Artist’s Talk, 6pm. Exhibition through Nov 28.

Art Connections 10am-7pm: an inside look at the work of more than 60 local artists. Talk to the artists and learn about the process of creating art. Explore two floors of art in one historic building in the heart of the New Smyrna Beach Arts District.

Live Music 5-7pm: Jim Bryer in the Lobby.

Talk Art! from 1-2pm: Collage from Recycled Magazines, an informal demo and conversation with Hub artist Cindy Burkett.
