March 7, 2020, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
1st Saturday at The Hub on Canal. Saturday, March 7.
10am-2pm Art Connections offers an inside look at the work of more than 70 local artists. Talk to the artists and learn about the process of creating art. Explore two floors of art in one historic building in the heart of the New Smyrna Beach Arts District.
Mural Dedication from 12:15-12:35pm: This is the rain date for the February mural dedication. The Hub on Canal is excited to officially dedicate the mural on the Magnolia Street facade of our building. We will have a short program (15-20 minutes) and everyone is welcome to attend. The HubCats, will play in the run up to the dedication. Richard England, President of The Hub, will make a few remarks, followed by the introduction of the mural artist, Steve Hardock, then additional comments from NSB Mayor Russ Owen. The mural is on The Hub building, but we consider it a gift to the City of New Smyrna Beach. We hope it adds to the character of Canal Street, helping to make Canal even more of a destination than it already is.
1-2pm Talk Art! featuring Sheri Zanosky with How To Paint Your Favorite Furbabies. Get to know this Hub artist through an informal demonstration and conversation. Learn how the artist works, her media and techniques. Bring your enthusiasm for the arts and lots of questions!
