Frank Ferrante

Frank Ferrante, landscape and seascape plein air oil painter and teacher, moved to Port Orange, Florida in 2011 from his home in Westwood, New Jersey.  He graduated Rutgers University and spent many years studying at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts and The Ridgewood Art Institute.  Ferrante spent twenty years studying with John P. Osborne, who was influenced by the American Impressionist painter Frank Vincent DuMond and his 1880’s “Prismatic” pallet.  Ferrante’s paintings hang in many galleries throughout the United States and are in many private collections.  He has been teaching studio and plein air oil painting for over twenty years and is presently teaching at The Art League of Daytona Beach, The Maitland Art Center, The Artist Workshop and privately.  He frequently gives studio and plein air oil painting demonstrations and workshops.
