Watercolor Artist, Evy Okerstrom, a native of Philadelphia, PA is a graduate of Savannah State University, with a B.S. in Business Management. From an early age she wanted to learn to paint with watercolors. In 2010 she began a serious study of the art. Evy moved to New Smyrna Beach in 2014. She has her paintings at the Hub on Canal.
Evy is attracted to subjects that have unique shapes and colors, and is looking for the unusual to surprise the viewer. Most of the time the subjects are part of her everyday life. Value studies are how she begins her pictures.
