I was born in Northern Michigan, and am now a converted Floridian living in the beautiful, art- centric community of New Smyrna Beach. I graduated from Flagler College in historic St. Augustine with my Bachelors in Business Administration in 2015. Fast forward to today and I now work independently in one of the most technical and creative fields that I’ve ever had the pleasure of exploring. Photography is the near-perfect balance between science and art, and allows me to capture and share moments that are seemingly impossible to recreate.
Photography was never something I considered pursuing as a career, and only started as a hobby in 2012. Since professionally capturing my first wedding, I haven’t looked back. It’s a humbling privilege to be able to give lifelong memories to two people that are committing their lives to one another, surrounded by friends and family. Weddings and events are just the tip of the iceberg, though. What I find truly fascinating and rewarding is challenging myself to manipulate the camera to create what my mind wants to see, which is how I started exploring Long Exposure, Black & White and Fine Art photography. All beauty and intrigue is subjective, but if someone stops for even a few seconds, and honestly interprets a photo I’ve taken in their own way, then that photo was worth taking.
