Cyanotype prints are known for their bright blue and white color scheme, but did you know you can alter those colors with a few household items? In this workshop students will explore developing cyanotypes – with a twist. You will invetigate the wet cyanotype method as well as get hands on practice toning traditional cyanotypes. Class time includes an hour break for lunch. Limited to 6 participates.

Learn the basics of Cyanotype. Cyanotype is an alternative photography method that uses the light of the sun to develop a blue and white image. In this workshop you will learn all about traditional cyanotypes – including history, precautions and methods. You will get hands-on practice, designing and developing your own cyanotype prints. We will also play a bit with double exposure and layering methods. You will leave with several beautiful prints suitable for framing.
