Wood Carving

I remember drawing horses, dogs and squirrels in the third grade. I also remember drawing and painting scenery in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades. In the 7th grade I drew house plans for my father, a home builder. As an adult I continued to sketch wildlife and taught myself calligraphy and later on taught calligraphy. My job at Armco Steel Corp was creating hundreds of signs and training manuals with sketches of complicated controls.
After retirement I continued sketching and this lead to wood sculpting. At present I exhibit my work in galleries in VA, NC and in Florida including The Hub On Canal in New Smyrna Beach.
