Anne is a native of Alabama, and she earned both undergraduate and masters degrees from Auburn University. Her father instilled in her an appreciation of art history; and after formal education, she began painting in oils and studied under artists in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  She received blue ribbons from the Artist Workshop of New Smyrna Beach and sold her paintings through a local gallery.

After many years of painting landscapes, seascapes, and portraits, Anne took a reprieve from painting to raise her family.  During this time, she taught art history to the gifted students at the middle school as a volunteer.

Several years ago, she and her husband bought a vacation home in the West Indies on the small volcanic island of Nevis.  She returned to the arts with her photography and the Four Seasons Resort purchased many of her photographs to sell in their gift shop.

Nevis is located 190 miles southeast of Puerto Rico.  The center of the island is a beautiful mountain and a 22-mile road circles the base of the mountain along the shoreline.  The tropical foliage is spectacular, the weather is perfect, and the 12,000 inhabitants are extremely friendly. Small wild monkeys live on the island and are a special treat for visitors to see.  Anne’s love of the West Indies instilled in her a desire to return to painting.  Her medium changed to acrylics and her palette was filled with the bright colors of the Caribbean.  She hopes that her paintings bring happy thoughts of carefree tropical life.
